It is not unusual to only own one toolset. Sometimes we need another one to complete specific projects or to fix something that has gone wrong. Some people purchase more tool kits than they need, and that is never a good idea. If you have only got one toolbox for your general use, it does not take long before you will be too short on some of the more common tools.
Basic tools tend to get the biggest wear. Choose a multi-purpose toolset. That way you will be able to use several tools for all the various projects you will be doing. Look for multi-purpose craft kits. These can include pliers, a socket wrench, wrenches, and sockets, as well as several other items such as an adjustable wrench, an impact driver, and a soldering gun. Many kits come with a starter pack which has plenty of items to keep handy. Look carefully at the package before you buy the combo kit.
Look carefully at the included accessories in the toolset. Some sets include ratchets, but if you do not need all the included accessories, look at other brands that have ratchet pins, for example, instead of the widely advertised 72-tooth ratchet. Ratchet pins attach the tool set to a tool belt rather than a cord.
